Yeah, a pin I have to stare at for a while to understand.  That's great.  Just great.

The pin is 2.5" at its widest point and has two pinbacks to secure it in place.  It was made in China.  It is a puzzle pin, meaning that the letters are connected by lines in a puzzle-ish fashion and must be solved.

But wait, the format of the puzzle deserves a bit more:  I found puzzles in this format in a book from the 1960s.  I'd never seen this sort of puzzle before, not that that is any great surprise, but neither had my fancy puzzle friends.  It was the first true "wisdom of the ancients" moment I've really had.

I laid out the puzzle pattern and https://ko-fi.com/jentheartist the did the layout.  She made a custom typewriter key font to make the layout easy.  She is good at everything she does and you should give her your layout/illustration projects.

The pin is surprisingly hard to photograph so I'll describe it:  The letters and circles are some kind of steel colored metal.  It sure ain't steel though and is, in fact, completely non-ferrous.  The area immediately around the letters is full of black enamel.  The ring outside the metal ring is white enamel.  It's the white enamel that doesn't read well in the photos.  Two traditional metal pinbacks hold it in place.

If you want the solution to the letter puzzle just highlight the black barred area below:

Starting from one letter you can trace out a phrase by navigating the lines connecting the letters.  Start from the T.  Still need helps?  Starting from the "T" the puzzle-ified message is "THOUSAND YEAR OLD VAMPIRE IS AN OKAY GAME."
